2024 Homecoming Queen Candidates Announced – The Crimson White

The 2024 Homecoming Committee announced the top five candidates for Homecoming Queen on Sunday.

The five candidates are Hannah Adams, Lauren Crawford, Maria Derisavi, Reagan Labiak and Allison Pope. The list of candidates and their platforms can be found on the website.

Candidates were evaluated based on an application, an essay and an interview.

“Grading for the preliminary rounds will consist of 5 panels of faculty, staff, students or alumni selected through recruitment through membership groups, interest forms or appointment to the Homecoming Steering & Advisory Committee,” the release said Homecoming website says.

Candidates have submitted their initial budget information and financial documents are due Oct. 12 at 5 p.m., the day before the campaign begins. The receipts will be published on the website at least 12 hours before the start of the candidates' campaign. Candidates have a campaign budget of $500 for campaign materials and marketing support.

The promotional period begins on October 13th at 7 a.m. and ends on October 22nd at 7 p.m

The Homecoming Queen election will take place on October 22nd from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. via mySOURCE, and the official Homecoming Queen will be announced at the Homecoming pep rally and bonfire on October 25th following a two-day contest hearing.
