Nikola Jokic makes NBA history in Denver Nuggets vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Denver Nuggets' season didn't exactly get off to the best start. However, they got a big overtime win on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.

Since the Nets began rebuilding last offseason, getting close to them isn't exactly a good thing for Denver, although they did pull out a 144-139 win in overtime.

While Russell Westbrook put together his best performance of the young season by far, superstar center Nikola Jokic continues his brilliant start to the season. As Tim Bontemps reported, Jokic made history again, this time with multiple 40-point performances and multiple triple-doubles in just four games this season.

“Nikola Jokic is the first player with multiple triple-doubles and multiple 40-point games in his first four games of the season in NBA history,” Bontemps reported.

Jokic recorded his second triple-double of the season against the Nets, trying to force the team to win and equal their season record. This is just further proof of why he is one of the most dominant basketball players in the world and why he has won three of the last four MVP awards.

The Nuggets superstar finished the contest with 29 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists while shooting 9 of 16 from the field.
