AXS announces a new, feature-rich ticket integration for Apple Wallets

In a world of constant progress, standing still means going backwards. It wasn't that long ago that tickets were issued on sturdy paper and had to be brought with you every time you went to a show. With the advancement of cell phone technology, everything became digital. Now we are in the cycle of delivering an enhanced experience by building sophisticated technology on top of what was previously a generic mechanism that provided access to an event.

AXS is the ticketing arm of AEG (Anshutz Entertainment Group), one of the world's largest promoters and operators of teams, venues and concert tours. They are first launching their enhanced mobile ticketing capacity at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in the hills surrounding Denver, Colorado.

The first advanced mobile tickets for the October 28 Shawn Mendes concert have been releasedTh2024. The plan is to allow the new capacity for all shows at Red Rocks after their debut. The new features enabled give Apple Wallet holders access to a range of information beyond the date, time, row and seat common on most mobile tickets.

The integration now allows the fan to see where their seat is within the venue, how to find parking, what amenities are available at the venue, mobile food ordering and ticket management. AXS has also integrated thoughtful features such as weather forecasts and the ability to share location with other event attendees.

Since this application is intended for fans of live entertainment, the developers have also integrated access to Apple Music playlists, which fans can use to preview concerts by having easy access to music, which increases the hype for the upcoming event . There will likely be more helpful options in the near future.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Apple to bring the new event tickets in Apple Wallet to Red Rocks Amphitheater. This will make one of the most iconic venues even more special and engaging for our fans,” said Justin Burleigh, Chief Product Officer at AXS.

These new advanced tickets only work for iPhone users running Apple IOS 18 or later. For those who already have this technology in their pocket or purse, it's a fun and free enhancement to the concert experience by centralizing all important information along with the ticket. Given that AXS currently offers tickets to approximately 1,300 sports and entertainment brands, the full launch of this new, enhanced online experience will undoubtedly enhance the experience of attending a live event with friends.
