Clemson QB Klubnik scores a long touchdown in the first drive against NC State

The Clemson Tigers will face the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in the opening game of conference play for both teams. The Tigers had a bye week last week, while NC State is celebrating a comeback win against Louisiana Tech, which saw starting quarterback Grayson McCall sidelined due to injury.

On the Tigers' first drive of the game, Cade Klubnik threw a long rushing touchdown, taking advantage of the open lane and traveling 55 yards virtually unchallenged to put Clemson on the scoreboard in less than a minute and a half:

Two weeks ago against Appalachian State, Klubnik scored an incredible seven touchdowns in the first half, five through the air and two on the ground. On a drive Saturday afternoon, he was 2 of 2 for 10 yards through the air, in addition to the 55-yard run to the end zone.

For NC State, which is ranked second with McCall, the Wolfpack players will rely on true freshman CJ Bailey, who made his first career start after being injured last week and contributed to the win.

Most experts predicted a relatively easy win for the Tigers, as they haven't lost to NC State at home since 2002. A long running goal by Klubnik less than two minutes into the game could potentially set up a non-exciting game at Memorial this afternoon.
