Before Columbus, America was to rely on a number of international titles

Last year, America had four titles in four months, but the players and their coach didn't know they had a pending task: conquering an international.

Las Águilas have been trying to get the basic qualification for their country for several years, most recently with the intention of winning the Columbus Crew for the Campeones Cup.

After his last incursions into the Torneos de Casa, America arrived in the last semi-final of CONCACAF and was eliminated in the final of the League Cup against the Rapids de Colorado.

“America has been in CONCACAF for ten years and has reached the semifinals.
