Only 12,300 PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary consoles will be made worldwide and each one will be individually numbered. Everyone wants this retro-looking console with a 90s original PlayStation 1 makeover. It will likely cost $1,000 (Sony has not yet announced the price). A standalone PS5 controller for the 30th anniversary will be cheaper and easier to obtain.

The PS5 Pro will go on sale at the same time on September 26th for $699. The funny thing is, there was a lot of resistance from gamers to that $699 price tag. But now a lot of those people want the $1,000 paint job. I get it! If you buy one, it's probably worth more than three times its final price.

I have narrowed down the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Collection (and PS5 Pro) pre-orders to two possible dates tomorrow.

Walmart: Pre-order page for PS5 Pro

Sony's PlayStation Direct Store has confirmed that pre-orders for the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Collection will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET/7:00 a.m. PT.

The Shortcut also had exclusive news from a top retailer in the United States that shed light on the PS5 Pro pre-order timing.

“Our PS5 Pro pre-orders will begin on October 10 at 10:00 a.m. ET, exactly two weeks after Sony,” a U.S. retail source told me this week.

If you take that statement at face value, PlayStation Direct will launch pre-orders for the PS5 Pro at 10am ET. Pre-orders at 10am ET are not uncommon on PlayStation Direct. 10am ET was the most common hour we saw PS5 replenishment And PlayStation Portal Replenishment in the US when, according to my exclusive data, they were so hard to buy.

Update: While PlayStation in the US is keeping quiet about the pre-order time for the PS5 Pro, representatives from other regions have confirmed their delivery time to me – and it was 10:00 a.m. local time everywhere.
