It's “Only Love”: Wynonna Judd sings a repertoire on the Northern Quest stage this weekend

From the employee reports

Wynonna Judd will perform her first two solo albums on Saturday at the Northern Quest Resort and Casino.

Wynonna's career began in the 1980s when she and her mother, Naomi Judd, formed the country duo The Judds. The two became known for their traditional sound and hits such as “Grandpa (Tell Me 'Bout the Good Old Days),” “Why Not Me,” and “Mama He's Crazy.”

In 1992, she released her first solo album, “Wynonna.” The album included hits such as “No One Else on Earth,” “I Saw the Light,” and “She is His Only Need.” The album reached the top of the Billboard Country charts, number four on the Billboard 200, and was certified five times platinum.

Judd's second solo album was released in 1993. “Tell Me Why” contains classics such as the title track, “Only Love” and “Is It Over Yet”. The record soon went three times platinum.

“The fans have made the Back To Wy Tour something much bigger than I ever imagined,” Judd said in a press release when she announced the tour earlier this year. “This tour isn't JUST about the songs; it's about our shared experiences, the memories we create together in every city, every venue, every moment. It's about going back to the roots, where it all began for me as a solo artist, and celebrating the nostalgic feeling of what we were doing when those two albums came into our lives… whether that was 1992 or 2022.”

Judd also made stops in Woodinville, Washington, and Billings as part of his tour before stopping in Airway Heights.

“I can't wait to see your smiling faces, feel your energy and create new memories with these songs that will stay with us for the rest of our lives,” Judd said in the May release.

Judd will be on stage at Northern Quest's BECU Live Outdoor Venue on Saturday. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. concert can be purchased online at northernquest.com starting at $49.50.
