Oklahoma State leaves Alan Bowman on the bench and starts in the second half against Utah with Garret Rangel

State of Oklahoma quarterback Alan Bowman was played on Saturday in the second half against Utah. Redshirt sophomore Garret Rangel came into play in his place.

Bowman has been the starter for OSU since last season, when he led the team to a Big 12 Championship appearance where it finished in second place. In the first three games, he had thrown for 967 yards and eight touchdowns with two interceptions.

The quarterback looked weak from the start against the Utes on Saturday, as the Cowboys committed three times on their first drive. They managed a field goal on their next drive to make it 3-0, but the offense continued to struggle, managing just 117 yards in the first half.
