BYU Announces Future Football Games – BYU Athletics – Official Athletics Website

PROVO, Utah – BYU today announced the addition of future football series with California, Boston College, Oregon State and Colorado State, as well as the postponement of several other future matchups.

BYU and Cal have agreed to a two-game series, with the ACC's Bears traveling to Provo in 2026 and the Cougars returning to California Memorial Stadium in 2027. The two universities have met five times previously, with BYU holding a 3-2 record in the series. The Cougars won in 1999, 2001 and 2014, while the Bears won the Las Vegas Bowl in 2005 and the most recent contest at LaVell Edwards Stadium in 2018.

In a two-game series with the ACC's Boston College, the Eagles will travel to Provo in 2028 while the Cougars will make a return trip to play at BC Alumni Stadium in 2029. The two universities have met in football three times since their first game in 1985. BYU defeated BC 28-14 and began the 1985 season at the Kickoff Classic at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Eagles hold a 2-1 lead over the Cougars with wins in 2005 and 2006.

Oregon State of the Pac-12 and BYU have agreed to a home-and-home series that will bring the Beavers to Provo in 2027, with the Cougars traveling to Corvallis for the return trip to Reser Stadium in 2028. BYU and OSU have met 11 times in football, with the Beavers holding a slim 6-5 lead in the series. The two schools split in the most recent series in 2011 and 2012, with the visiting team claiming an away win in both games.

Former conference foe Colorado State and BYU have agreed to a series that will see the Cougars travel to Fort Collins to face the Rams in 2026. CSU, which will join the Pac-12 in 2026, will make its return trip to Provo in 2029. The 2026 game will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2010, when both were members of the Mountain West Conference. Since the two programs have been conference opponents for decades, they have faced each other 69 times before. BYU currently holds a record of 37-29-3 over CSU, including a seven-game winning streak since 2004.

In addition, the following games have been postponed from a previously announced date to a new date or rescheduled from an outstanding date in the original contract.
