According to a new MSNBC report, sources close to Biden say he is frustrated that Vice President Kamala Harris has distanced herself from his record as president.

According to these sources, the president has commented on Harris' failure to mention him in recent campaign speeches, noting that he believes she should recognize his economic achievements while offering her own vision on the issue.

“Biden has noted at times that Vice President Kamala Harris … has not mentioned him in her recent campaign speeches, including when she talks about an economy that he believes his policies are on a positive path,” they said People,” according to NBC.

Additionally, the sources told NBC that Biden was “particularly hurt” by Harris' recent line during her debate with former President Trump, in which she made a clear distinction between her and her boss.

“I am clearly not Joe Biden. And certainly not Donald Trump. And what I offer is a new generation of leadership for our country,” the vice president said during the debate, drawing a stark contrast between her and Biden's policies as Trump tried to grill her over the current administration's record.

Those familiar with Biden's feelings on the matter acknowledged that he still wants Harris to win and “that he plans to do everything he can to help her,” the report said .

An anonymous senior Harris campaign official said that Biden “just keeps saying to her, 'The most important thing is that you win.'” The official added: “We need to tell people who she is and what she would do.”

They also noted, “There was no real interest in hearing about (Biden’s) accomplishments when he was running. That’s still the case.”

However, White House spokesman Andrew Bates dismissed these sources' claims, telling the media: “These uninformed claims are the exact opposite of the truth.”

“President Biden welcomes the American people's strong response to Vice President Harris's leadership and policies that move us into the future, away from dangerous agendas of the past like MAGAnomics and abortion bans,” Bates added.

The spokesperson reiterated his denial of these claims, telling Fox News Digital that they were “not” true.

The sources said Biden understands the political reasons for moving away from his record, although they noted it still “frustrates him at times.”

“While Biden is aware of the political reality, he has also expressed a range of emotions about his exit from the race — from feeling that his legacy rests on a Harris victory to worrying that his imprint is disappearing from the national stage, say those familiar with his private comments,” the article said.

Describing his mixed feelings on the issue, a source said: “It's very complex.”

Another Harris campaign official defended Harris' departure from Biden, telling NBC: “She needs to become her own person. She has to do this to win.”

Although Biden has accepted Harris' candidacy, he maintains that he would have beaten Trump in November if he had still been in the race. He told co-hosts of “The View” last week that he was “confident” he could have beaten Trump and that he didn't feel “overwhelming reluctance” from his fellow Democrats about his re-election efforts.

“I was confident I would beat Trump – he’s a loser,” he explained.
