This year's Big Fresno Fair will feature new food and attractions

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — We all have our fair favorites, but this year there are also new treats and attractions to try at the Big Fresno Fair.

The fan-favorite rides are also back, but there's something shiny and new.

“The biggest, baddest thing on the West Coast: The XXL, The King,” said Sean Butler of Butler Amusements as he demonstrated the new ride.

“It rises more than 150 feet in the air and is now taller than the Ferris wheel.”

Immerse yourself in a new adventure with the Aqua Pals Town experience with stingrays and sharks.

If all the rides and attractions make you hungry during your visit to the fair, you're in luck.

“Nothing makes me happier than serving amazing food to great people,” said Trevyn Mullins of Fryburger.

A newer food item that you may have missed last year is the fryburger.

You can enjoy the latest innovations, but you can't go to the trade fair without a classic.

“Everything is homemade, freshly baked and hand-made with a little love,” said Dane Baldwin of Country Fair Cinnamon Rolls.

Country Fair Cinnamon Rolls serves tens of thousands of sweet treats fresh from the oven.

“It is the trade fair in our hometown and that is special for us. We are very proud to be from the Central Valley and the Fresno area,” Baldwin said.

Another new addition this year is Three Dollar Fair Bites Day, which takes place this Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Trying smaller portions costs just $3 and more than 40 vendors are participating.
