Here's how early voting works in Chicago's 2024 presidential election — and where you can do it

CHICAGO – Chicagoans will soon be able to go to the polls to vote in the general election.

Election Day isn't until November 5th – but early voting begins in Chicago on October 3rd, giving residents the option to cast their ballot in advance to avoid long lines on Election Day.

Here's what you need to know:

Early voting allows Chicagoans to cast their vote before Election Day, which is November 5th this election cycle.

During early voting, Chicago residents can go to any early voting site to cast their vote – it doesn't matter which county they live in.

Most early voting sites will also be open on Election Day.

All ballots cast during early voting are final. Voters cannot change their ballot once it has been cast or vote more than once.
