Garth Brooks performs in Las Vegas amid sexual assault allegations

For Garth Brooksthe show goes on.

Just hours after the country singer was accused of sexual assault and assault in a lawsuit filed by his former makeup artist and hairdresser, he took the stage in Las Vegas to continue his current tour.

“If there was ever a night I really needed this, TONIGHT was that night,” Brooks wrote on Instagram on Oct. 3 alongside a photo of the audience at his Coliseum residence at Caesars Palace. “Thank you for my life!!!!”

Before the show, the “Friends in Low Places” singer was married to his wife Trisha Yearwood since 2005 – broke his silence in a message denying and blaming the allegations unnamed Woman of blackmail.

“For the past two months, I have been endlessly plagued with threats, lies and tragic stories about what my future would look like if I did not write a multi-million dollar check,” he said in a statement to E! News October 3: “It was like a loaded gun was shoved in my face. Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money.”

He added: “In my eyes, this means that I am admitting to behavior that I am incapable of – ugly acts that no human being should ever do to another.”

“I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds in the future,” he continued. “It breaks my heart that these wonderful things are now in question. I trust the system, I’m not afraid of the truth, and I’m not the man they made me out to be.”

E!'s lawsuit News, referring to Brooks' former employee as Jane Roe claims that the singer knew she was “in financial trouble” and that he took the “opportunity to introduce a staffer to a side of Brooks that he keeps hidden from the public.”

Roe says the 62-year-old sexually attacked them several times in 2019including that Brooks raped her during a work trip this year Grammy Awards after booking a room to share without her consent.

That was back then suit says, Roe felt “trapped in the room alone with Brooks, with no one to help him and far from Nashville” when Brooks “showed up in the bedroom doorway completely naked.”

Roe, who began working for Yearwood in 1999 and began doing Brooks' hair and makeup in 2017, stopped working for the couple around May 2021.

Although his message was his first public statement on the singer's allegations previously denied the allegations and filed a motion to proceed with litigation pursuant to “John Doe” to protect his identity.

“We filed a lawsuit against this individual nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of reputation,” Brooks said in the statement to E! News. “We filed the lawsuit anonymously for the benefit of the families on both sides.”

According to documents obtained by CNN, the Singer submission says that Roe is “aware of the significant, irreparable harm such false allegations would inflict on Plaintiff’s well-deserved reputation as a decent and caring person” and whether she would file her “fictitious lawsuit.”

In response, Roe's lawyers said their client would move forward with her lawsuit.

“We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks,” the attorneys noted in a statement to NBC News. “The complaint filed today shows that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood, and the rap and rock and roll industries, but also in the world of country music.”
