Did JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon Endorse Donald Trump? What we know

Rumors are circulating that Jamie Dimon, CEO of top banker JP Morgan Chase, has endorsed former President Donald Trump for president. However, Dimon has not publicly endorsed Trump or Vice President Harris for president.

Dimon's spokesman Joe Evangelisti told CNBC that he has not endorsed any candidate and flatly denied the rumors. Dimon previously told CNBC that he doesn't support “anyone” and is spending more time on politics.

“What are the policies we need to help both global politics and domestic politics?” Dimon previously told CNBC.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Dimon had previously had lunch with Harris and said the vice president was sensible and open to improving cooperation between government and business.

However, on Friday afternoon, reports began circulating again that Dimon had publicly endorsed Trump on X and other social media platforms. Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, posted in a now-deleted X post that Dimon endorsed Trump, and Trump reposted a claim on his own social media accounts that Dimon endorsed him.

Dimon has made comments that suggest Trump is right on several counts. He also criticized the strong antipathy and backlash toward Trump supporters in many liberal circles.

“I wish Democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA,” Dimon said on CNBC's “Squawk Box.” “When people say 'MAGA,' what they really mean is people who are voting for Trump — and they're essentially scapegoating him.”

Dimon said many people support Trump primarily because of his financial policies. The JPMorgan CEO noted that he didn't like the way Trump “said things” but said he “wasn't wrong on these critical issues.”

In particular, Dimon said Trump's views on the economy, immigration and China were some of his best selling points. Dimon praised Trump for “pretty good economic growth” and his successful tax reform. The CEO also said that Trump was “kind of right” about NATO, immigration and China.

Last year, Trump spoke out against Dimon over his past support of former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

“The grossly overrated globalist Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMORGAN, is quietly pushing another non-MAGA person, Nikki Haley, for president,” Trump said on Truth Social. “I was never a big Jamie Dimon fan, but I had to live with this guy when he came to the White House begging. I think I don’t have to live with him anymore, and that’s a really good thing.”

According to records reviewed by, Dimon is a registered Democrat Newsweek. According to FEC records, Dimon has made two political donations this year. That included $3,300 to Republican Sen. Joni Ernst for $3,300 and $3,300 to Republican Rep. French Hill.

Newsweek I emailed Dimon for comment.
