Vanderbilt's football game against Alabama at FirstBank Stadium is sold out

Saturday's Vanderbilt football game against Alabama at FirstBank Stadium is sold out, according to an athletic department news release Friday.

Tickets are still available on the secondary market starting at $144 at StubHub and $149 at SeatGeek.

The Commodores' home opener against Virginia Tech was also sold out, although the stands were filled mostly with Hokies fans. Alabama's social media accounts blasted Vanderbilt with “gone” in quotes, a reference to the expectation that more Crimson Tide fans than Vanderbilt fans might attend.

Vanderbilt (2-2, 0-1 SEC) hasn't played a home game in nearly a month, most recently on Sept. 7 against Alcorn State. The Commodores played back-to-back road games against Georgia State and Missouri before being idle last week. The Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0) are coming off a home win against Georgia before Saturday's game (3:15 p.m. CT, SEC Network).

Vanderbilt's press release advised fans to be cautious as there could be increased traffic around the stadium due to the Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival at Centennial Park, which could result in road closures.
