The 2024 MLB postseason continues with the start of the best-of-five Division Series on Saturday. Three of the wild-card round series ended in 2-0 victories, with the Tigers, Royals and Padres having two days off to set their lineups and rotations for the next round, while the Mets needed three games to knock off the Brewers.

The first games on Saturday will be played in Cleveland and New York (AL) and Philadelphia and Los Angeles (NL). Both National League Division Series play Game 2 on Sunday and both American League Division Series continue with Game 2 on Monday.

Which teams will take an early lead heading to the Championship Series? Follow live updates, highlights and more below.

The Cleveland Guardians won Game 1 comfortably with a 7-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Cleveland started the game strong, with a five-run first inning highlighted by Lane Thomas' three-run home run. Thomas sent Reese Olson's first relief throw over the left field wall.

Olson calmed things down over the next innings, but the Guardians were able to sub out Sean Guenther in the bottom of the sixth when David Fry hit a two-run double to extend their lead to 7-0.

Guardians starter Tanner Bibee went 4 2/3 innings and allowed zero runs on four hits while striking out six batters.

Game 2 is Monday at 4:08 p.m. ET at Progressive Field. The likely starting players will be Tarik Skubal for the Tigers and Matthew Boyd for the Guardians.

Here's a look at the four Game 1s scheduled for Saturday and how to watch them:

Live29 updates

  • NYM-PHI has begun

We head into the second divisional playoff game of the day, with the Phillies hosting the Mets for Game 1 of their five-game series. Although Philadelphia is the favorite, New York is a real wild card, having caused some postseason chaos last week.

The Phillies are starting righty Zack Wheeler, while the Mets are, somewhat surprisingly, starting Kodai Senga in Philadelphia.

  • Philadelphia led 1-0 after the first inning

The Phillies lead the Mets 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning after Kyle Schwarber hit a massive home run, much to the delight of the raucous Philadelphia crowd.

It's tough for Mets pitcher Kodai Senga, who missed most of the season due to injury, and who gets an absolute blast from Schwarber in his return.

  • Kyle Schwarber opens the scoring for Philadelphia with a bomb

  • Three plus points, three minus points from Wheeler in the opener for the Phillies

Wheeler makes quick work of the first inning with Francisco Lindor at bat and Mark Vientos and Brandon Nimmo hitting.

  • DET-CLE: Guards take over Game 1

Great at the plate, great at the belly. The Guardians controlled all facets of Game 1 and hold a 1-0 lead over the Tigers.

Game 2 is Monday at 4:08 p.m. ET at Progressive Field. The likely starting players will be Tarik Skubal for the Tigers and Matthew Boyd for the Guardians.

  • DET-CLE: Emmanuel Clase comes in to close things out

The Tigers have had their last three outs and are down 7-0. They haven't scored since the start of the 5th inning.

  • NYM-PHI: Starting lineups for Game 1

  • The Guardians still need six outs to win Game 1

Cleveland holds a commanding 7-0 lead as the game nears the bottom of the 8th inning.

The Tigers allowed only four hits against the Guardians' pitching and struck out 12 times in seven innings.

  • David Fry's two-RBI double makes Cleveland 7-0

Reliever Ty Madden will leave the game. Sean Guenther will start for the Tigers.

  • Cade Smith beats everyone down

The Guardians reliever faced four batters over the course of 1 1/3 innings and struck out all of them.

  • Reese Olson retires nine batters in a row, keeping the Guardians on top.

Olson has now pitched five innings of relief, allowing one run on three hits and recording four strikeouts.

5-0 Guardians as the game approaches the top of the 6th inning.

  • Tanner Bibee's day is over after 4 2/3 innings

Stephen Vogt decides to go to the bullpen with Bibee at 76 pitches. Cade Smith will come into the game in relief.

    Bibee's line: 4 2/3 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K

  • The Tigers still had four runners on base after four innings

Bibee gets out of a jam where two Tigers runners lined up and no one dropped out. A double play helped relieve the pressure and Cleveland kept the Detroit Bats quiet.

  • Olson calms down and keeps the Guardians calm

After a rough start, Reese Olson found his groove and kept the Guardians in check with four strikeouts in three innings on the mound.

Cleveland is up 5-0 as we head to the top of the 4th inning.

  • Bibee raced through three innings

Three batters up, three batters out for Tanner Bibee. A 10-pitch inning keeps the Tigers off the scoreboard.

Bibee has five strikeouts on 54 pitches as we near the bottom of the 3rd inning.

  • The Tigers hold the Guardians to the bottom of the 2nd

Olson delivered back-to-back strikeouts to eliminate two Guardians runners and keep the score 5-0 for Cleveland through two innings.

  • Bibee with four K's in two innings

Bibee struck out from the side and allowed just one hit to start the second inning. Cleveland has a 5-0 lead.
