LOS ANGELES – Baseball's hottest rivalry on the West Coast is heating up again in the playoffs. The National League West winners, the Los Angeles Dodgers, host the red-hot San Diego Padres in Game 1 of the National League Divisional Series on Saturday at Dodger Stadium. It will be the third time in the last five seasons that the division rivals have met in the postseason. Fresh off their wild-card win over the Atlanta Braves, the Padres send Dylan Cease to the mound, while the No. 1 seed in the NL will have Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the starting lineup. The Padres came out on top in the season series, winning 8-5. But the last time these two faced off, it ended with the Dodgers celebrating another division title. The Dodgers will look to get rid of some postseason demons they've been struggling with. They have lost six straight playoff games, starting with the Padres' divisional round exit in 2022.
