ForbesToday's NYT Mini Crossword Clues and Solutions for Saturday October 5th

Sunday is here. Good old lazy Sunday. A day of rest and relaxation. A day for lazing around, reading books, watching all the great shows and movies currently playing, and of course solving word puzzles like Wordle, Strands, Spelling Bee, and the New York Times Mini Crossword. Let's solve today's problem, shall we?

This was a surprisingly tricky mini today! Spoilers ahead, of course. Skip ahead to see the picture of today's solved puzzle.

ABOVE

1 – One of Franklin’s certainties of life – TAXES

6 – Human voice at the end of a telephone tree, say – AGENT

7 – You might be surprised – PARTY

8 – “When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s __” – AMORE

9 – damn hot – SEXY

DOWN

1 – Starters such as croquetas and patatas bravas – TAPAS

2 – So to speak, the best achievement of a human being – AGAME

3 – Search for: “google” :: Make a copy of: “___” – XEROX

4 – Diary Passage – ENTRY

5 – Eyelid irritation – Stye

That was . . . Surprisingly difficult, but that's not why it took me 4:09 to get through. I actually opened the puzzle and then worked on something else for a few minutes, momentarily forgetting that this was timed. Still, excuses aside, I struggled a bit. For one thing, I initially entered DEATH instead of TAXES, which set me back. Then I was a bit at a loss with 6-Across and 2-Down. Even when I had AGAME, I basically pronounced it like you would say AGAPE. I'm still confused about 3-Down's reference. Well, I finally solved it! How have you been? let me know TwitterInstagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I also write instructions for it. You can find these and all of my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
