Home game against Bayern: Frankfurt with Kauã Santos and without Kevin Trapp

As of: October 6th, 2024 5:15 p.m

In the top game of the Bundesliga against FC Bayern, Eintracht Frankfurt will continue to have to make do without captain and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp.

Instead, the young Brazilian Kauã Santos will be in goal again today against Bayern (now in the live ticker and in the audio live stream). Kauã Santos last played in the Europa League and held strong. However, Trapp still has to take a break due to a thigh injury.

In a statement that Eintracht Frankfurt posted on X, Trapp also had his say. He therefore says: “Of course I would have loved to play and the decision wasn’t easy. But as captain, I have a responsibility not only to myself, but above all to the team, which has finally led me to this decision.”

Five new ones at Frankfurt

Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller makes five changes to his starting lineup: Tuta, Skhiri, Chaibi, Knauff and Ekitiké start. For them, Dahoud, Dina Ebimbe, Götze, Nkounkou and Matanovic have to go on the bench.

Two changes at Bayern

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany placed his trust in Guerreiro and Müller from the start. They start in place of Laimer and Coman. Musiala is still missing due to hip problems.
