The likelihood of Gladiator 2 scoring over 90% on Rotten Tomatoes is now high

Ahead of the release of the much-anticipated Gladiator sequel next month, UK betting sites are now offering odds on what Gladiator 2 will be rated when it releases.

Rotten Tomatoes bills itself as the “most trusted measure of movie and television quality” and is many people’s go-to source for movie ratings. Ratings for the new Gladiator film are also given there.

The first Gladiator film has a Tomatometer rating of 80% across the 259 reviews posted on the site, and the odds suggest the new sequel will do significantly better.

Paddy Power's latest market puts odds of 8/15 suggesting that Gladiator 2 will receive an overall score of between 90% and 100% by December 22nd, more than a month after release.

These odds give an implied probability of 65.2% that the film will be rated this high, as Paul Mescal's release is expected to be a major box office hit.
