Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is out with an injury, which is a huge blow to the team

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Richardson took limited practice all week after suffering an oblique injury in the Colts' 27-24 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday.

It's the 14th missed game in two seasons for Richardson, who missed twice in last week's win over Pittsburgh.

During a planned run, he was first hit hard in the right hip and again three plays later when it appeared he was about to throw another big hit.

39-year-old veteran Joe Flacco will make his first start this season against the winless Jaguars.

The Colts will also be without running back Jonathan Taylor and center Ryan Kelly.

Taylor did not participate in practice this week after suffering an ankle injury against the Steelers. Taylor had 108 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown before being eliminated in the fourth quarter.

Taylor leads the Colts in carries, rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

Richardson is second on the team in carries and rushing yards. Richardson and Trey Sermon each have a rushing score.
