Lecture summaries from the Sunday morning session in October 2024

President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency emphasized the importance of teaching the simplicity of the teachings of Jesus Christ during general conference on Sunday morning, October 6.

He testified that teaching the teachings of Christ – faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit and endurance to the end – is a holy work and the Holy Spirit will bear witness to these truths.

“I bear witness to the sacred work of teaching Heavenly Father's children the simple doctrine of Jesus Christ, which enables us to be spiritually cleansed and ultimately welcomed into God's presence to live with Him and His Son in glory forever live,” said President Eyring.

President Jeffrey R. Holland, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, also spoke about the fundamental “principles and ordinances” that characterize the Church of Christ.
