TE notes: Even though the 49ers' skill corps has finally reached full strength (without CMC), George Kittle seems to be the best choice for standard TE1 status at the moment. His 2024 floor was fine. Everyone knows the ceiling. The Cardinals are a glorious Week 5 matchup. … Jake Ferguson Is the rare 2024 tight end draft plan actually going according to plan? Matchups shouldn't matter much for the Cowboys' No. 2 weapon. … The Cardinals expect Trey McBride returned after a week-long absence with a concussion. The struggling Kyler Murray seemed completely out of ideas without his seam safety valve. Despite his rib injury, 49ers LB Fred Warner is an unideal McBride welcome board for Week 5. … Rashee Rice was injured and Travis Kelce immediately had a useful effort. A positive touchdown regression was long overdue, and Kelce could soon be back in his traditional top spot. … Dalton Kincaid Still isn't running enough routes, but he's still commanding targets while doing so. Hopefully Texans/Bills actually shoot out.

Pat Freiermuth didn't really have a good game. He didn't really have a bad result either. Apparently that's enough to make him a safe mid-range TE1 these days. … David Njoku (Ankle) practices. When he returns from his three-game absence, he will be the Browns' much-needed No. 2 weapon against an extremely leaky Commanders defense, albeit one that has so far provided limited tight end production against a weak roster of opposing seam stretchers has shown. … Evan Engram (Thigh) is also struggling to return from his three-game sabbatical. If he can do it, the Colts will be a land of options for rival pass catchers. … Brock Bowers As expected, he's faltering after proving he needs to be a defensive focal point. Even with Davante Adams The outlook for Bowers' targets in Week 5 isn't exactly surprising, as the Broncos expect to wipe out the Raiders' entire passing game. … Dalton Schultz is the Pat Freiermuth of a poor man who at least doesn't do anything bad. As for his good fantasy works? He will contact you about this.

I decided to panic a little more than I expected Mark Andrews. With so many tight ends struggling, it's tempting to fall back on fundamentals. One of them is: Andrews has been good for a long time. But Andrews struggled to even get on the field for the Ravens' most important snaps in Week 4. I am hold Andrews has at least another week left but is looking for starting alternatives against the Bengals. At the very least, it should be a high-scoring affair where the Ravens have to fold. …We return quickly Tucker Kraft into the TE1 ranks after Jordan Love immediately revived his fantasy relevance. How much of that was due to the 28-0 comeback game script is a fair question. It's also fair to focus on Kraft being one of the tight ends good game any circumstance this season. … Compared to the rest of the industry, I was never really one Kyle Pitts Booster. But even I need to stop pretending he's relevant at all at the moment. The guy is losing target battles to Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud and doesn't even look fast anymore. … Cade Otton is tied for fourth among tight end targets with 21 (lol).
