MLB playoff results, live updates: Phillies win wild Game 2 from Mets, Padres face Dodgers in NLDS

The National League Division Series continued Sunday and the Phillies evened their series against the Mets at 1-1 after a 7-6 win in Game 2 at Citizens Bank Park.

The Dodgers take on the Padres in the nightcap. In Game 1 on Saturday, Shohei Ohtani did Shohei Ohtani things in his postseason debut, leading the Dodgers to a 7-5 victory, while the Mets made a late push against the Phillies bullpen to take a 6-2 victory.

The two ALDS matches continue on Monday after the Yankees took a 1-0 lead against the Royals and the Guardians won against the Tigers. Stay with Yahoo Sports on Sunday for live updates, highlights and more from the day's MLB postseason action.

    Christopher Sanchez has his second 1-2-3 inning to start the 4th inning. After getting JD Martinez to groundout, Sanchez struck out Starling Marte and Francisco Alvarez to end the inning.

  • Starling Marte's error almost leads to a Phillies run

    Cue the “Yakety Sax” music for this third inning sequence.

    Kyle Schwarber flied out to right field and Starling Marte attempted to double Johan Rojas and return to first base. But a missed throw allowed Rojas to reach second place. He advanced to third with a stolen base, but fumbled when Trea Turner struck out.

    We're in the fourth inning and the Mets are leading 2-0.

  • Mark Viento's 2-run home run

    The Mets struck first with two runs in the third inning. Francisco Lindor hits a one-out single and Mark Vientos follows with a long fly ball over the right field fence for a 2-0 Mets lead.
