The Padres bullpen dodges a beer can thrown by a fan as more videos surface of an ugly scene at Dodger Stadium

It wasn't just San Diego Padres left fielder Jurickson Profar who struggled with objects thrown at him by fans in the stands at Dodgers Stadium during Game 2 of the NLDS on Sunday night.

His teammates in the bullpen had to deal with their own situation while play was stopped late in the game.

As fan videos of the wild scene before the seventh inning continue to surface on social media, one showed the moment beer was hurled at players in the Padres' bullpen as security and umpires tried to figure out what happened to Profar on the field. as he was pelted with several balls and beer cans.

The Padres bullpen was standing near the fence trying to observe what was going on with Profar when a staff member could be seen staring up at the crowd. She then pointed at left-hander Adrian Morejon and warned him that an object was coming their way.

After dodging the ball, tempers began to boil as right-handed pitcher Jeremiah Estrada and others in the San Diego bullpen were seen screaming at fans in the stands.

Luckily there was nothing else to get in their way, but the game came to a standstill at that point as San Diego coach Mike Shildt went onto the field to figure out what was going on between his players and the fans .

This is a heated NL West rivalry, but MLB never wants to see such interactions between players and fans.

Tensions were certainly high during the game on the field, especially in the inning before when Dodgers pitcher Jack Flaherty and Padres third baseman Manny Machado traded unpleasantries in the dugout and on the field, respectively.

But it got to the point where the game had to be stopped as security guards, referees and Padres players gathered on the field to provide security before postseason play resumed.

In the video from the Padres' bullpen, the Dodger Stadium announcer can also be heard imploring fans to stop throwing anything on the field because it will immediately result in an ejection.

When play finally resumed, it was the Padres who went all out in the final stages of their 10-2 win over the Dodgers to tie the series at one game apiece.
