Hello Strands fans. How well you do in today's task depends on how well you know the vernacular of several decades. For me that was a challenge.

In fact, I immediately had to use a clue that gave BOSS away – a term I probably wouldn't have found on my own.

Nevertheless, it finally introduced me to the topic as I was unable to look past it Bill & Ted previously. I plugged in GROOVY in the top left corner, followed by DANDY under BOSS on the right.

CHOICE and HYPE followed at the bottom before I started searching for the Spangram. After finding “right” in the bottom right corner, I traced this expecting it to connect to the other side of the board, only for it to stop short of RIGHTEOUS.

Nevertheless, through the connection I had revealed the route for the actual Spangram, which turned out to be Thosecool, written left to right along the center of the grid. That left only SWELL to solve the puzzle.
