Deadline reports that Sutter, a Rahway native who grew up in Clark and later created the FX shows “Sons of Anarchy” and the spinoff “Mayans MC,” premiered “The Abandons” just three weeks before the series in a “shocker “ left was to be completed in Calgary, Canada.

Sutter, 64, a graduate of Roselle Catholic High School, also played “Big Otto” Delaney on “Sons of Anarchy.”

Sutter's wife, “Married… with Children” star Katey Sagal, starred as Gemma Teller Marrow in the series, which follows the members of a California motorcycle club.

In 2019, Sutter was fired from Mayans MC amid complaints about his behavior.

He wrote the 2015 film Southpaw, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jake Gyllenhaal. He was also a writer and producer on the FX series The Shield.

In April, Sutter and Sagal launched their podcast “PIE,” which he describes as “an intimate living room conversation exploring the ingredients that 'bake' each guest” and “a respectful, deep look at nature and nurture – Family, faith, friends, hometowns, schooling, mentors, tormentors.”
