“Not on our campus”: Anti-Semitic graffiti posted on Auburn campus, promptly removed

Auburn University became the scene of anti-Semitic defacements after individuals graffitied the slogan “From the River to the Sea,” popular with the Hamas movement, on the bricks of Toomer's Corner. Additional pro-Hamas messages were written on site.

The phrase calls for the elimination of Israel by advocating Palestinian control of the entire area from the Jordan to the Mediterranean, which would eliminate the Jewish state. Today marks the first anniversary of the start of a brutal attack on Israel by the terrorist group Hamas.

Aufamily, one of the largest social media profiles associated with the university, wrote “Not on our campus” in response to the incident and the quick cleanup of the area.

Jacqui Pearl, daughter of Auburn basketball head coach Bruce Pearl, was particularly disappointed with the timing of the graffiti as today marks the first anniversary of Hamas' violent attack on Israel.

So far, law enforcement has not arrested those responsible. Auburn police have said they continue to investigate the incident.
