Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred Global Release Times Confirmed (UPDATE: Release Delayed)

Update: Blizzard announced a “small delay” to the launch of Vessel of Hatred due to technical issues. According to a blog post, Blizzard “will begin blocking new logins for Diablo IV. Players who have already logged in before 4:00 PM PDT will continue to be in the game with Patch 1.5.2, but they should expect to lose connection to the game over time as we do additional work to to prepare for the simultaneous launch.”

Adam Fletcher, global director of community for Diablo, said he hopes the delay will last a few hours at most, “but we'll see.”

Previous story as follows:

The Diablo 4 expansion “Vessel of Hatred” goes live in some regions today, October 7th. The global release date is October 8th. Here are all release times worldwide.

Vessel of Hatred – the first expansion for Diablo 4 – goes live on October 7th at 4:00 p.m. PDT. The pre-download on Battle.net and consoles (Xbox and PlayStation) is already available. There is no pre-download for Diablo 4 on Steam (Steam users will have to wait to download the update when Vessel of Hatred goes live on October 7th at 4:00 PM PDT).

It's worth noting that Diablo 4 players can pre-download the patch that includes Vessel of Hatred and the Season of Hatred Rising (Season 6) content, regardless of whether they have purchased Vessel of Hatred. Blizzard recently released the patch notes for 2.0.1 and 2.0.2, and not only are they huge, but they also change the game significantly.

Vessel of Hatred's key new features include a new class, new region, and new story. Joining the new Spiritborn class is the new region of Nahantu, where you search for Neyrelle, who is on a mission to destroy the greatest villain, Mephisto. You can also recruit mercenaries to assist you in battle and fight together in a new PvE co-op activity.

IGN's Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred review received an 8/10. We said: “Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred is an outstanding expansion that hits all the right notes, but feels like just the first act of a larger adventure.”
