Looking for a change in our weather

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – If you're looking for a change in our weather, this isn't the place. The very stubborn pattern of the last few weeks is expected to continue at least into the next week. However, there will be a few changes from day to day.

Yesterday's weather pattern brought a weekend with significantly above-average temperatures. Lubbock's high yesterday, Sunday, was 12 degrees above the date's average and just three degrees below the date's record high (94° in 1931 and tied with the date in 1939).

Today's weather peak is, if you will, a slight decrease in high temperatures. Otherwise there is more of it. It will be a sunny day, the wind will be light and – after a cool early morning – the afternoon will be very warm.

This evening it will be clear again and there will be some cold weather. Temperatures will fall back into the 50s across most, if not all, of the viewing area. The wind remains weak.
