Troy Aikman calls Taylor Swift “the Mrs” while praising Travis Kelce

Does Troy Aikman know something we don't?

The former NFL QB and “Monday Night Football” analyst praised a second-quarter play by Chiefs star Travis Kelce against the Saints — while ESPN cameras showed girlfriend and pop megastar Taylor Swift celebrating in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium .

“The woman likes it,” Aikman told viewers.

“You know they're not married?” his partner Joe Buck quickly replied.

“Oh, I know,” Aikman told him. “I’m sure I’ll get in trouble if I say that.”

While rumors of Kelce and Swift's relationship status being engaged or even secretly married have been circulating since they went public last year, there is no concrete evidence that they have moved beyond boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

Kelce and the Chiefs finished the first half with a 16-7 lead over New Orleans – with the tight end having his best game of the season with eight receptions for 67 yards.

It was no less embarrassing on ESPN's alternative show “Manningcast”, in which Peyton and Eli Manning walked giggling through Swift, who was shown together with coaching legend Bill Belichick.

Perhaps it is Swift's return to Kansas City – she has missed Kelce's last two away games – that is spurring the three-time Super Bowl winner's rise, despite appearing with his brother Jason Kelce on ESPN's “Monday Night Football.” “The broadcast team has a lot of support.

Entering Monday, he had accumulated just 158 yards on 15 catches as the Chiefs rattled off four straight wins to start the season.

“I've made a lot of catches in this league, man, I don't worry about the catches and the yards, and yet the most fun I get is when I get the ball thrown my way, I mean, who doesn't?” Kelce said on the Sept. 25 episode of the “New Heights” podcast that he co-hosts with Jason.

“It has everything to do with execution and just making sure we do everything we can to win these football games, that's always going to be the goal.”
