At Sea-Tac Airport, temperatures average at least 70 degrees for two days in October. This shows that temperatures around 70 degrees are rare, even though such temperatures are not uncommon at this time of year.

While skies will feature abundant, spectacular sunshine today, much cooler and cloudier conditions are expected on Tuesday. There will be a chance of scattered showers tomorrow and Wednesday, but most backyards in Western Washington will remain dry.

Midway through the work week in Seattle, temperatures cool slightly.

There, Hurricane Milton quickly developed into a Category Five storm this morning. It is expected to make landfall as a major hurricane in the Tampa area on Florida's west coast sometime Wednesday evening.
