Royals player taunts Yankees' Carlos Rodón after their ALDS Game 2 win

After a 4-2 win in Game 2 on Monday night, the Royals tied the ALDS against the New York Yankees and sent the best-of-five series to Kansas City – with a little more exuberance.

After a 4 for 5 night that included an RBI, Royals third baseman Maikel Garcia launched a walker. He also struck out seven and walked no one.

Garcia responded to a Jomboy video – “Oh my God, Carlos Rodon” – that showed a pumped-up Rodón after a promising first inning in which he shut out the team, including Garcia.

“Don’t celebrate too soon,” Garcia wrote late Monday night with the skull emoji. It was a refrain he also shared on his Instagram story, albeit with more skulls.

Garcia, who had a .231 average and .614 OPS this season, wrote following his post, “We ain't afraid of no one.”

The Royals scored all of their runs in the fourth inning – a home run by Salvador Perez and singles by Tommy Pham, Garrett Hampson and Garcia – to take a 4-1 lead.

Game 3 of the ALDS takes place on Wednesday at 7:08 p.m. ET and features Royals starter Seth Lugo against Yankees starter Clarke Schmidt.

And maybe a little more spice.
