Kamala Harris is having trouble sleeping because of the election

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke about the personal toll the upcoming election is taking on her, admitting that the stakes are so high that she's losing sleep.

Speaking to Howard Stern on his radio show Tuesday as part of her ongoing media campaign, Harris said the outcome of the presidential election will have far-reaching consequences for the future of the country, citing risks to democracy, national security and basic needs American.

“I'm literally losing sleep thinking about what's at stake in this election,” the vice president said.

During the interview, Stern asked Harris whether she would feel safe or even stay in the country if former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, “God forbid,” won the election.

In response, Harris said she was doing “everything I can to make sure (Trump) doesn't win the election.” She pointed to the dangerous path the country could take if Trump is re-elected.

“This is an election about strength and weakness,” Harris said, warning that Trump’s leadership, particularly his admiration for authoritarian figures, would weaken America’s position at home and abroad.

In response to Stern's question about whether he would feel safe if Trump took back the White House, Harris continued: “We're building a coalition of Republicans, independents, Democrats and libertarians – people from all walks of life – coming together to say it “This election is about taking power in the country.” before the party.
