Chris Olave's brother brought attention to the Saints' offense during primetime “Dud vs. Chiefs.”

New Orleans Saints star wide receiver Chris Olave had just two receptions for 10 receiving yards, including a one-catch first, in the club's 26-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium Half time, accept it – and the usage was limited didn't go unnoticed by a member of Olave's family.

Olave's brother Josh — a former defensive back at Weber State — took to X (formerly Twitter) during the game and questioned the Saints' use of the former first-round pick.

“1 goal?” Olave wrote on X.

After making just two catches against the Carolina Panthers in the season opener, Olave saw his involvement in the offense steadily increase as he has racked up 254 yards and one touchdown reception in the three games since.

But Monday's game marked a return to limited action for Olave, much to his brother's chagrin. When asked about the tweet during a media session on Tuesday, Saints coach Dennis Allen did not elaborate on the specifics of the post but acknowledged current frustration with the offense as a whole.

“These things tend to creep up when things aren’t going well,” Allen said. “I think we just need to stick together as a group because the only way to change things is to be united. And I think that's what we've always done here. That’s what we’re going to do now.”

“I think we're all frustrated with our inability to get anything going offensively in this game. And definitely we want to be able to get Chris to his goals. We didn’t really manage to do that last night.”

According to Allen, the Saints' offense as a whole struggled compared to the Chiefs'. New Orleans gained just 220 yards on offense, averaged 4.3 yards per play, and only reached the red zone once in the entire game.

And as for Olave's brother, maybe a bigger commitment from the star receiver would have been the spark the Saints' offense needed.

A bigger problem for New Orleans' offense is the injury to quarterback Derek Carr, who is expected to miss several weeks due to an oblique injury he suffered Monday night.

In any case, whoever is under center for the Saints will likely value starting Olave against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
