The Florida Panthers cancel the 2024 Ring of Champions at Amerant Bank Arena due to weather conditions

SUNRISE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers announced today that tomorrow's Champions Ring Ceremony will not proceed as scheduled out of an abundance of caution. Hurricane Milton has placed numerous Florida counties under a state of emergency, including Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade.

“Because this event would require resources from first responders and service providers, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Champions Ring Ceremony out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of everyone involved in mind. Instead, we will distribute our championship rings privately,” said President and CEO Matt Caldwell. “Together with state and local authorities, we are closely monitoring the situation. As of now, opening night against Boston will take place as planned and we will continue to prepare our arena and surrounding areas to safely welcome guests to opening night.”

Fans can expect a full refund of their donation upon purchase. The Florida Panthers Foundation will continue to support United Negro College Fund Fort Lauderdale (UNCF Fort Lauderdale) and United Way of Broward County's Mission United.
