Jerry Jones responded bluntly when asked if he could improve the Cowboys' squad

Jerry Jones doesn't want to hear questions about improving the Dallas Cowboys' squad.

After another loss in Week 3, Jones was asked by reporters if the Cowboys needed to upgrade their roster. He bluntly replied that he didn't think it would be a problem and that “I like our personnel.”

Dallas made a valiant attempt to catch up on Sunday, but ultimately lost 28-25 to the Baltimore Ravens. They trailed 28-6 at the start of the fourth quarter, but were able to reduce the deficit and get within three points with 2:53 left. But the hole they dug was too deep to climb out of.

One problem for Dallas was the running game on offense. The Cowboys managed a combined 51 yards on 16 carries, and none were longer than six yards. The Ravens, on the other hand, overran Dallas' defense and managed 274 yards on 45 carries. This included 151 yards and two touchdowns from Derrick Henry.

Henry was a free agent in the offseason and the Cowboys didn't court him heavily. When asked about it, Jones claimed the team couldn't afford the four-time Pro Bowler. Instead, Dallas has Rico Dowdle and Ezekiel Elliott to carry the ball out of the backfield.

Quarterback Dak Prescott did what he could on Sunday, completing 28 of 51 passes for 379 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions, but he had no help on the ground.

The Cowboys are currently 1-2 and likely need a reliable running back if they want to have a chance.
