IND vs BAN: Riyan Parag doesn't receive the ball for a bizarre ball throw past the goal area

Indian all-rounder Riyan Parag bowled a bizarre no-ball during the second T20I against Bangladesh at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, October 9. The incident occurred on the 11thTh After the end of the innings, Parag tried to bowl a flatter ball across the crease to Mahmudullah.

The Bangladesh batsman failed to clear it as he missed the ball completely. However, Parag's unique move caught the attention of the umpire, who immediately went up to check if it was a legitimate throw. The replays revealed that Parag's back foot was outside the pitch and therefore the referee signaled that it was a no-ball.

On the last ball of the over, Parag managed to dismiss Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who was caught by Ravi Bishnoi at deep cover. As a result, Bangladesh were 80/5 after 11 overs.

Earlier, Bangladesh had made a disastrous start to their chase, losing three wickets in the powerplay and were 43/3 after six overs. Arshdeep Singh opened the proceedings by dismissing Parvez Hossain Emon in the third over also gave him a death glare.

Apart from him, Varun Chakravarthy (2/19), Washington Sundar, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mayank Yadav also contributed with wickets. After three quick knocks, Rinku Singh joined Nitish Kumar Reddy at the crease and the duo steadied the innings with their strong partnership. Reddy then scored his maiden T20I fifty by scoring a sensational 74 off 34 balls with the help of four fours and seven sixes. On the other hand, Rinku made his third T20I appearance and scored 53 off 29 balls, smashing five fours and three sixes. The duo added 108 runs for the fourth wicket off 49 balls to take India's score to over 140.

Hardik Pandya also made a valuable contribution of 32 (19) while Riyan Parag also scored 15 (6), taking India to a massive score of 221/9 in the allotted 20 overs.
