Foreplay: A picture-perfect October day for baseball here in Detroit: 63 degrees and sunny, about 20 minutes before first pitch.

The big question at the beginning is how long Keider Montero will stay as a starter. The Guardians have six lefties and two switch hitters in their lineup. Left-hander Brant Hurter warmed up a bit before the game.
