Former “Good Morning America” meteorologist Rob Marciano lands at CBS News after ABC exit

In April of this year, it was reported that Marciano, a meteorologist at ABC Good morning AmericaHe had left the network. The reason for his exit was not disclosed.

Marciano had been with the network since 2014. He was chief meteorologist for World news tonight and the weekend edition of Good morning America.

The meteorologist had previously worked as an anchor Entertainment tonight and a news and weather anchor on CNN.

There have been some changes at CBS News in recent months CBS Saturday Mornings Co-host Jeff Glor is among those affected by the latest round of layoffs at Paramount Global. Glor was the anchor of CBS Evening News from 2017 to 2019 and was on the network since 2007.

Other departures include Anna Werner, senior consumer investigations correspondent, and Ben Tracy, senior national and environmental correspondent.

Jericka Duncan was recently named host of the Saturday and Sunday editions of CBS Weekend News.

In July this year it was announced that Norah O'Donnell would be leaving the presenting chair CBS Evening News and would take on a senior correspondent role at the network.

Gayle King recently signed a new contract to remain at CBS News, where she is a co-anchor CBS Morning.
