Rafa Nadal announced his retirement from tennis during the Copa Davis

MADRID (AP) — Rafael Nadal announced he retired from tennis 38 years ago, after a monumental career that saw the Spaniard win 22 Grand Slam titles — 14 in the Abierto de France — during an era without previous participation his rivals Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
