Rafa Nadal, winner of 22 Grand Slam tournaments, announced his retirement from tennis

MADRID — Rafael Nadal announced his retirement from tennis 38 years ago after a monumental career that saw the Spaniard win 22 Grand Slam titles – 14 at the Abierto de France – during a period without comparison with his rival Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Nadal has been battling injuries in a low-profile past two weeks, hinting that playing against him in November's Copa Davis final in Málaga, Spain, forced his exit. The roster runs in 2023 and discussions are ongoing about the final Grand Slam tournaments.

“Really, I know he really saw a child,” Nadal said in a video posted on social media. “I was in absolute peace because I left the greatest, and I decided on everything.”

In the video, which contains a response for his specialist staff, the Mallorcan suggested that his decision would likely lead to his ongoing problems with the lesions. The squad will take place in 2023 and discussions about the last Grand Slam tournaments followed.

“The reality is that we had difficulties a few years ago, these are two very special things. It is as if he is not able to play without limits “Y un final,” confirmed Nadal.

Nadal's relentless and fiscal style was the game of Nadal – he had to pursue him every time until he reached the last, and fell and escaped to launch a latigazo with his help – he converted himself into one of the greats of tennis and in the unmistakable hell of the Polvo of Ladrillo, the red surface and the conquest of a title record of Roland Garros.

Under the most titles that my husband or wife had, he was now reconciled at the end of the four capitals, a dominio reconciled with a state that was just on its way to the main entrance in Paris, in the shadow of its main stadium, the Piste Philippe Chatrier.

When the result she symbolized was being eliminated in the early rounds of the Roland Garros tournament this year, she suffered a drawback and continued fighting in front of eventual supporter Alexander Zverev.

Nadal was returning to the Paris Olympic Stadium at this point after dying in the second round of the singles goal before sharing a life with Djokovic, and was in doubles with Carlos Alcaraz. Nadal has not been in action for several years.

Nadal announced in July that it was a final goal: the Copa Davis.

“I had great illusions about my last goal reaching the Copa Davis final and representing my country,” he said. “It's the circle, you are one of my first major players as a professional tennis player for the final (of Davis) in Seville in 2004.”

Alcaraz, as Nadal's father in Spanish tennis, believed that his comrade's legacy was “unrepeatable”.

“He is very disappointed and cost me a lot of time when I came to Davis, Rafa!” he wrote on his social networks.

Apart from his congratulations during his high school year in France, Nadal crowned himself with a personal Grand Slam tournament on four occasions and twice at Wimbledon as well as at the farewell final in Australia.

“I think it's the moment when I have to go to the point and the final because I've had a long career and it's become much more exciting than I imagined,” said Nadal emocionado.

Captured the last two Grand Slam titles in Melbourne in 2022 and Paris in June to oust Federer. He was the duel with the record of a man with 20 percent in major cities when he announced his retirement 41 years ago. Federer threatened to be fined in a doubles duel with Nadal in the Copa Laver in 2022.

Ambos was rebased by Djokovic at the age of 37 and a total of 24 titles.

Nadal's exit was seen for the first time, rightly with no, through the prism of his duels against Federer and Djokovic. The world of tennis, and I was so focused on the debate that three of them were the best time ever. The whole world was fascinated by their parts, styles and personalities.

Among the test subjects who were able to confirm the Nadal-Federer final at Wimbledon 2008? Is Nadal-Djokovic in the final of the 2022 French final? ¿O Nadal-Djokovic in the Australian final? And even more.

“Inspire millions of children to get involved in tennis and believe that it is the mayor who strives for it,” Djokovic expressed on Instagram.

Nadal faced Djokovic 60 times, a record for two men after the end of the era; Djokovic won 31:29 in the historic comparison, while Nadal won 5:4 in the final of the Slam. Nadal stayed 40 seconds against Federer; Nadal won 24:16 in the historic season and 6:3 in the Slam final.

“Gracias por los recuerdos inolvidables y por todo lo que que lograse en el deporte que tanto amamos. “It’s an absolute honor,” Federer said in a message addressed to Nadal on his social networks.
