Detroit Tigers break Comerica Park playoff attendance record again

It was the first game of the Tigers' five-game postseason series to start later than 4:08 p.m., and fans were able to take advantage of the later start to bring in more people and create an exciting postseason environment.

The Comerica Park playoff record prior to this season was set on October 7, 2013, in Game 3 of the ALDS, when 43,973 spectators attended the Tigers' 6-3 loss to the Oakland Athletics. Comerica Park's all-time record is 45,280, set on July 26, 2008 in a 6-7 loss to the Chicago White Sox.
