Dolton “Dictator” Mayor Tiffany Henyard scoffed during the meeting

Dolton “dictator” Mayor Tiffany Henyard was callously ejected from a town hall meeting she stormed into Monday night, another surreal moment for the beleaguered Illinois village.

The self-proclaimed “super mayor” arrived an hour late at the board meeting organized by sparring trustees – and when she tried to speak, the embattled politician was reportedly mocked, booed and shouted down.

“I am the mayor of the village of Dolton,” Henyard said dramatically before a chorus of jeers rained down on her.

“Hold on, respect, boys, respect,” she said as the commotion continued. “Let me give my statement or I will leave your illegal meeting.”

But those in attendance didn't seem to care, as they continued to yell at her after she stood up, clutched the microphone on the table, and delivered an ill-fated speech.

Some residents even turned their backs on her, the Chicago Tribune reported.

She said she was there to make three appointments to fill vacancies, but after seven fruitless minutes she finally left.

“Another thing I want to make clear to you about the Board of Trustees is that they are all corrupt, every single one of them up here is corrupt,” she claimed ahead of her departure.

As she left the room, the crowd cheered sarcastically.

Henyard, who is also the supervisor of nearby Thornton Township, initially attended her own meeting at the town hall but had to cancel because only two other trustees showed up, NBC Chicago reported.

“As you can see, the board didn’t show up, and these are the things that residents are fed up with,” she reportedly said at that meeting.

“They’re tired of these games.”

Henyard posted cryptically on Facebook on Tuesday: “I need all my black sheep to stand by me.”

“You are not alone, if God is for us then who can be against us,” she wrote.

Henyard has endured the wrath of Dolton residents — some call her a dictator — and some of her elected colleagues over allegations that she misused taxpayer funds and mismanaged other aspects of the village.

Citations were served in Dolton and Thornton Township as part of a federal investigation.

A report prepared by former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot found the village's finances were in shambles this summer due to increased spending.

Henyard wants to name a new police chief, a new village manager and a new village attorney, but a Cook County judge found last month that Henyard did not follow protocol when she tried to make the proposed appointments after trustees voted against Henyard had filed a lawsuit, the Tribune reported.

The meeting, where Henyard walked in late, was held at a fieldhouse in the park district after the Illinois Attorney General's Office ruled that the village was violating the state's transparency laws by failing to provide residents with a large enough venue at which everyone could take part, the newspaper says.

On Tuesday, she filed a lawsuit asking a judge to force the opposing trustees to hold meetings at the town hall, accusing them of illegally holding meetings at the field house, ABC 7 Chicago reported.
