Justin Bingham Obituary 2024 – Anderson and Sons Mortuary

Justin Douglas Bingham was called back into the presence of our Heavenly Father on October 5, 2024. And although his departure was abrupt and unexpected, the legendary life he led leaves a legacy that can never be taken away. Justin was born on October 8, 1983 to Douglas and Jolene Bingham. He married the love of his life, Lindsay Adams, and was sealed to her for time and eternity on September 10, 2005, in the Salt Lake Temple.

His family was his entire world and he dedicated his entire life to providing everything they could hope for or dream of and more. He was a devoted and faithful husband who loved his wife with an insatiable passion. Their love was that of fairy tales, both sharing an unquenchable thirst for each other's love and affection. Together they gave birth to four wonderful children: Turin, Ashton, Landon and Ava. Justin was an extremely loyal, dedicated, committed and fun-loving husband and father. His family considered him Superman. His superpowers were most clearly demonstrated by his son Landon, who suffers from physical limitations such as cerebral palsy and cortical visual impairment. Landon didn't let that stop him and neither did Justin. Blessed with the same determination, Justin and Landon hiked, climbed, rappelled down mountains together, wakesurfed, kneeboarded, bodysurfed, rode bikes, skied, ran a half marathon and many 5Ks, played basketball, and traveled the world and much more. Justin's eternal optimism, deep love, and tireless positivity were a blessing to his family as he conquered the impossible to provide every joy and opportunity for each of his children, no matter the circumstances. He and Lindsay embraced the unexpected with unwavering faith and determination to find beauty in life.

As a family, they loved boating, canyon rides side by side, camping, playing with their dog Annabelle, fishing, skiing, playing sports, swimming in the ocean and traveling the world. Lake Powell was their happy place as they spent many summers there cliff jumping, exploring beautiful canyons, and teaching the kids wakesurfing, water skiing, slalom, and more. He was and still is so proud of his family and their achievements in school, sports, choir, dance and everything else they did. He loved each of his sons and his little Princess Ava had him wrapped around his finger.

Justin was a loyal son who loved his mother and father from the very first moment. He filled their world with pride and joy. His father was his hero and he tried hard to follow in his footsteps. Justin was a doting brother to three brothers and a sister who loved him as much as the human heart can love. Everything they did together became a spirited sibling competition. One that Justin wouldn't let end until he won. He spent 11 years working with two of his brothers, including founding and successfully selling his first two startups.

Justin served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Milan, Italy, a place and people he loved dearly. So much so that he named his first son after the city of Turin (Torino), where he spent eight months of his mission and later lived with his family for two months. In true Justin fashion, he served with all his might, mind and strength, often refusing to eat because his time was taken away from him. We can only imagine how he rejoiced with joy at the announcement of the Milan Temple in the presence of our Savior less than 24 hours after his death. Justin set a righteous example for his family as a dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ who, like the Savior, went about doing good and serving others with a pure, generous, and compassionate heart. He served in various church callings and was passionate about working with youth.

He was a graduate of Brigham Young University and earned a degree in Italian with a minor in business administration. He was a college scholarship athlete who ran track for BYU and achieved blazing speeds in the 110m and 400m hurdles. Justin was a passionate competitor and all-around athlete who excelled in almost everything he did.

He harnessed his tireless competitive spirit and applied it to the challenging business world. Justin was an accomplished entrepreneur who successfully founded, grew and sold several companies. He was featured in Utah Valley BusinessQ as one of Utah Valley's 10 Coolest Entrepreneurs. A passionate entrepreneur with a flair for opportunity, Justin has had two exits and worked as co-founder and CEO on his third and largest company. Under his leadership, his company Opiniion has been named to the INC 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in the U.S. for the past three consecutive years, registering over 1.5 million units in the PropTech space. Known for his exceptional networking skills and love of meeting new people, Justin highly valued Opiniion's customers. He valued personal contacts and took every opportunity to travel and get to know them personally. For him, people were always more important than the product or the business, a reminder he made visible with a sign in his office next to his desk. With over 70 employees, Justin maintained personal connections, often with a simple daily fist bump in the office, and left a legacy as a people-centered entrepreneur, visionary leader and caring partner.

His personality was literally larger than life, filling a room with light, energy and love. Justin never met a stranger and made lifelong friends everywhere he went. His ability to connect with people from all walks of life was unmatched. He stood up for the underdog and inspired others to do and be more than they thought possible. There was nothing Justin couldn't do. He was a skilled and incredibly gifted nature lover. Whether it was climbing Mount Rainier or the Tetons (which he recently did with his son Turin), climbing and skiing down Lone Peak, climbing some of the most difficult routes in the Wasatch, canyoning slot canyons or doing pretty much anything with a backflip While learning to fly a Speedwing or one of the many other adventures he was constantly organizing and embarking on, Justin found himself at home in places most human eyes would never see.

He is survived by his beautiful wife, Lindsay, and their four children, Turin (his strong right hand), Ashton (his mini-me), Landon (his superhero), and Ava (his precious little princess), as well as their dog, Annabelle. His mother Jolene, his brothers Branden (Mindy), Sean and Jared (Brittany) and his sister Michelle (Daniel). He joins his father Douglas in a warm, eternal embrace in the presence of his Savior.
