Kawhi Leonard's honest statement about his relationship with James Harden

For the past five seasons, All-Star Paul George has been Kawhi Leonard's running mate with the LA Clippers. After George's departure, his new doubleheader will take place against James Harden. Even though it seems like the two don't have much of a relationship because the bond is so new, Leonard says otherwise.

During Clippers media day, Kawhi Leonard was asked about his relationship with James Harden, to which he gave a surprisingly detailed answer.

“I mean, the relationship was great,” Leonard said. “He came in last year with a desire to win and said he wanted to make sacrifices and do the things we had to do to win games. “Coming into this year, he has the same mindset and you just want a different one Man who thinks the same way and is willing to take those risks to win. Yes, I think it's a good relationship so far.

One of the most important aspects that Kawhi Leonard appreciates about his friendship with Harden is how transparent they can be with each other as teammates.

“We could be transparent with each other whether we are playing well or badly, so I think it will be good for the future,” Leonard said.

As great as the relationship between Kawhi Leonard and Paul George was, their inability to both stay healthy was the biggest problem of all. Hopefully it will be a different story if James Harden is his running mate.
