Election week 2024 in photos: Obama criticizes Trump at the rally in Pittsburgh

This week, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris campaigned alongside big names. Harris received a boost from former President Barack Obama, while Trump took the stage with tech CEO Elon Musk.

The campaign's focus remained on swing states, with Trump returning to the site of his first assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. Harris was in Arizona on Thursday amid a media frenzy conducting interviews The view And 60 minutes.

Both candidates also attended commemorative events marking the one-year anniversary of Hamas' Oct. 7 terrorist attack against Israel, which sparked a long conflict in Gaza.

Meanwhile, NBA star Magic Johnson took the stage in Flint, Michigan to help campaign for Harris. The basketball player supported the Democratic candidate back in October.

Elon Musk has been a vocal supporter of Trump since he endorsed him after the first assassination attempt on the Republican candidate. This week marked the first time the two men campaigned together in person.

Trump's stay in Wisconsin was part of his ongoing push into the Midwest. Each of these three states must leave Harris' column for Trump to win in November. Therefore, the focus is on the Rust Belt as Election Day approaches.

Harris' most recent media appearance was at a town hall in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she answered questions from audience members. Nevada is a swing state where Harris has a small lead over Trump.

Former President Barack Obama jumped in to support Harris at a rally in Pittsburgh, where he sharply rebuked Trump, portraying him as selfish and egotistical. There was also a joke about diapers that was well received by the audience.
