DOOM Eternal, BioShock Remastered, Scorn and more are available for free from Prime Gaming this month

A few hours ago, Amazon unveiled the free games for October 2024 that will be given away through Prime Gaming, with DOOM Eternal as the highlight. id Software's latest game was released in March 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic struck across the globe, and received widespread critical acclaim. DOOM Eternal received high praise and a rating of 8.5/10 on Wccftech, with Chris Wray writing the following summary:

Doom Eternal is a brilliant game, one that is a worthy successor to the previous release. While the game falters here and there and tries to be something it shouldn't be, the outstanding gameplay more than makes up for any problems. Based on the campaign alone, Doom Eternal is worth your time and money, especially if you enjoyed Doom. I'm not sold on the multiplayer as it feels a bit too worn out.

Note that Prime Gaming is giving away a Microsoft Store code. Luckily, this version of the game supports the newly released DOOM Eternal mod tools, although you'll need to follow a different procedure than Steam to get it working.

DOOM Eternal is available to download immediately, and the same goes for BioShock Remastered (which is delivered via a GOG code), Hive Jump 2: Survivors (GOG), SCARF (Amazon Games App), Tomb Raider: Legend (GOG), The Eternal Cylinder (Epic Games Store), Spirit of the North (Epic Games Store), No Straight Roads (Epic Games Store), Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition (Epic Games Store), Priest Simulator: Vampire Show (Epic Games Store) , DreadOut 2 (Amazon Games app) and The Gap (Amazon Games app).

Starting October 17th, Prime Gaming subscribers can get Killing Floor 2 (Epic Games Store), Mystery Box: Hidden Secrets (Legacy Games Code), Vlad Circus: Descend Into Madness (Amazon Games App), and Through the Darkest of Times (Amazon Games ) get app) and Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol (Amazon Games App).

On October 24th, Amazon is adding The Gunk (GOG), Monster Train (GOG), Pumpkin Jack (GOG), STASIS: BONE TOTEM (Epic Games Store), Morbid: The Seven Acolytes (Epic Games Store), and Gargoyles Remastered (Amazon games app). Last but not least, on October 31st, Prime Gaming subscribers can unlock Scorn (GOG), A Plague Tale: Innocence (GOG), Coromon (GOG), Death's Door (Epic Games Store), and Haunted Hotel: Personal Nightmare Collector's Edition (Amazon Games app).

Additionally, Prime Gaming subscribers in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Netherlands and Poland can stream the following games via Amazon Luna: Amid Evil, Valfaris, Perish, Dr. Fetus' Mean Meat Machine, Tormented Souls, Dusk, Mortal Shell, Doomblade, Monster Harvest, Alien: Isolation and XDefiant.
