ForbesToday's NYT Mini Crossword Clues and Solutions for Tuesday October 8th

It is Odin's Day, the centerpiece of the work week, a day for deceitful gods and fairies. A day for ravens. And of course a day of solving puzzles. Find answers to all of today's NYT Mini Crosswords below!

Spoilers ahead, of course. Skip ahead to see the picture of today's solved puzzle.

ABOVE

1 – Synonym for “close” – SHUT

5 – Workshop task for actors – SCENE

6 – Civic manufacturer – HONDA

7 – ___ Sanctuary (Private Chamber) – INSIDE

8 – Synonym for “close” – NEAR

DOWN

1 – Pastry often served with tea – SCONE

2 – Temporary reddish dye – HENNA

3 – Not over yet? – UNDER

4 – Droplet of Sorrow – Tear

5 – Vulnerable body part in football – SHIN

This one was also surprisingly tricky for a mini crossword puzzle. They played around with words like “close” and “over” that have a double meaning. I first tried NEAR for 1-Across but it was SHUT. Sneaky! Others were simpler, like “Droplet of sorrow” (how poetic). I got distracted and took 3:39 today. How have you been? let me know TwitterInstagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I also write instructions for it. You can find these and all of my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
