Broadway star Ruthie Ann Miles shines at the Tabernacle Choir's Christmas concert

Ruthie Ann Miles, an accomplished American actress and singer who captivates audiences with her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, will be the featured guest artist at the Tabernacle Choir's 2025 Christmas Concert.

The concert will take place on December 19, 20 and 21, 2024 at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“Ruthie Ann Miles is praised for her vocal talent coupled with unforgettable performances,” director Mack Wilberg told Church Newsroom. “We are pleased to have her perform with choir and orchestra to gladden the hearts of our audience as we celebrate the birth of the Savior.”

Miles rose to prominence for her Tony Award-winning portrayal of Lady Thiang in the revival of ” The King and I. She is currently shining on Broadway McNeal at the Lincoln Center Theater. Her impressive career includes standout performances as Margaret Johnson in The light in the piazza and as the beggar in it Sweeney Todd, a role that earned her a Tony nomination in 2023.

Despite personal tragedies, including the loss of her daughter in 2018 and a miscarriage in 2019, Miles has demonstrated incredible resilience and strength. In 2020, she gave birth to a baby girl, bringing joy to her healing journey. Ruthie Ann Miles continues to inspire with her remarkable talent and perseverance, both on stage and off.

This year's Christmas concert will be an unforgettable event and tickets, although free, are required for entry. It will be the first Christmas concert since the pandemic to have full seating at the Temple Square Conference Center.

Interested parties can apply for up to four tickets per household in a random process. To attend, register at thetabernaclechoir.org/christmas-concert-2024. Registration begins Tuesday, October 15th at 12:00 p.m. and runs through Friday, November 1st until 11:59 p.m. MDT. Please note that participants must be at least eight years old to take part in the celebrations.

If you want to attend but don't get tickets, you still have the opportunity to experience the magic. 90 minutes before each concert, a waiting line will be formed in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. The concerts start at 8:00 p.m., so it's important to arrive early!
